Improved CPR Supplies
Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, or CPR, is a life saving technique used by trained first responders from responsible mothers, to Boy Scouts, to EMT technicians and physicians. it is used to revive someone who is unconscious with no pulse and/or not breathing. Most people who have ever seen any medical crisis scene in a movie or TV show are familiar with the mouth-to-mouth breathing and chest compressions that constitute CPR.
Thousands of people have been saved with CPR, but in some instances the rescuer may actually expose themselves to a potential health threat. In order to make this life saving technique less risky for rescuers, many innovations have reduced the risk of contamination or infection from a person receiving life-saving CPR.
The most effective innovation in CPR to protect the rescuer is the Cpr Pocket Mask. It is a mask placed over the nose and mouth of the unconscious person and allows the rescuer to breath into the persons lungs without making contact with the persons face. Most are clear plastic with a rubber or silicone seal to ensure a proper, air-tight fit over the nose and mouth. Almost all have a one-way valve that further lowers the risk of fluids coming into contact with the rescuer.
